I'm totally worried that my fiance will lick my face for our first kiss. He likes to lick me - sounds gross, I know. I don't want a picture with me scrunching up my nose in disgust!
FI has warned me that having his brother and best friend in the wedding party could make for interesting (fun, goofy, etc) moments during the wedding (ceremony included). I don't mind, might be fun!
I'm worried that are toasts are going to turn into roasts! Fiance's best man has already asked me whether certain topics are on or off limits. I'm afraid they're going to turn it into comedy night at the improv!
@ ETWedding, HAHAH my boyfriend likes to do the same thing!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA soooooo freakin hilarious!!!!!
my fiance keeps threatening to wear all white linen and do some sort of Boys to Men rendition with his brothers (who are his best men) as I walk down the aisle... so not happening, he better behave himself.
No, but I'm trying to do something for him- He always told his BF's that the day he got married (if he ever did) the first song played would be Black Sabbath's "Iron Man". Since we're not having a typical reception, I'm trying to find musicians to burn a version of this song with whatever instrument they play.
I will then play the versions at totally unexpected moments throughout our stay in Las Vegas. Whether it's kazoos, french horns, or even opera, I am looking for copies of this song.
If you, or anyone you know would be willing to burn me a copy in return for very small amouts of cash or homemade cookies, please contact me.
@aloweha - now, that's funny! At least you wouldn't have to worry about "ugly cry face" - which was my biggest fear leading up to the wedding.
@Karma007 - that's SUCH a cool idea (I love that song). I wish I had some musical ability - I'd totally help you out.
We're planning to do something funny for the garter toss - we're going to de-activate a mouse trap and somehow right before it's time rig it up under my dress so that when he first goes up to get the garter, he comes out with the mousetrap hanging off his fingers. He also wants to use a chain with a padlock, but I doubt I can keep something like that discreetly up my dress long enough to walk to the chair on the dance floor.

At our wedding, my husband did a couple of things to break the ice (& keep me from becoming a blubbering mess). One we totally ripped off an idea someone posted about on Weddingbee - when they asked "Do you?" the Jeopardy song played before he said, "I do." The other, I'd never heard of before - he came up with it on his own. During the ring exchange, he turned to his best man and was handed a cracker jack box. He tore open the box, pulled out the prize, ripped it open & took out a ring.
He put a lot of planning into the Cracker Jack thing - he opened a Cracker Jack box from the bottom carefully, emptied the popcorn out, and removed the prize. He took another box & got the prize out of that one as well. Now there are two prizes - he taped them together carefully on three sides, slid my wedding band between the two prizes, and taped the remaining side together. He made sure the perforated parts of the prizes were together so he could tear off the perforation & get the ring out. He then put the "new & improved" prize into the box he had emptied & re-closed it.
I knew about both of his little "jokes" beforehand - I actually gave him the idea for the Jeopardy thing after seeing it on weddingbee. And it's a good thing, because the DJ was a little late starting the music, so he just didn't answer for a few seconds while waiting for the music to start. My MOH wanted to kick him til she found out I knew about it. The hardest part of it all was trying not to laugh beforehand and give it away that something was coming.
Did your husband do something unusual during your ceremony? If you're getting married, do you expect him to - or, like me, do you know he will?
