I know this may sound really stupid but has anyone ever used a diet pill and seen results?
Ive been told my whole life that they are complete bull shit and they probably are but I dont want to lose a lot of weight….10 -12 pounds max…would a diet pill help with that?

You’ve got 5 months. You can totally do this by cutting out white flour, complex carbs, soda and sugar and just increasing your activity.
Don’t take diet pills. Everything seems all peachy keen now, and then months down the road, you hear the FDA is recalling them because of one thing or another.

Not only will they not work, but they will seriously mess up your metabolism.
I took fat burning pills in college when I was young and stupid. Not only did they make me sweat like a pig, neurotic and borderline insane, but my metabolism was all messed up for a year afterwards.
Diet and exercise is the only way to do it.

I don’t know about diet pills but there’s stuff you can take to increase the productivity of exercise. I don’t know what it is, though. I just heard about it from my FI. Really the only way to get it done is diet and exercise, but oh do I wish there was a magic pill with no horrible side effects.

Please dont take diet pills, they are horrible for your body! Eating healthy and exercising is the only effective way to lose weight in a healthy way. Eat 5 small meals a day to increase your metabolism and try to work out at least 3 times a week. Youll also have alot more energy. I know diet pills seem like a quick and easy fix, but there is no magic secret to losing weight.

@osakagirl: Train for something that you are committed to doing. I’ve been training for a half marathon (next week, wooo!) and it’s hard to slack off when you paid $100 for the race and hotel rooms, plane tickets, etc.
I’m not saying go that major, but maybe train for a 5K or something? If you are accountable for something, you’ll be more motivated.

Diet pills don’t work. Please don’t take them. There are no overnight results for weight loss and anyone who tells you there is doesn’t care at all about your health.Your best bet is to talk to your doctor and find a healthy nutrition regime that works best for you.
I’ve taken them before when I was younger and didn’t know better and ended up very sick, even though they said they were safe herbal supplements.

I found a good daily multivitamin increased my daily energy a lot. It’s easier to exercise when you don’t feel tired all the time.

If you are looking to increase your engery and help decrease stress, I find a good B complex vitamin does the trick. Please note, this is not a weight loss vitamin or anything like that, but it does help when you are experiencing stress, and I find it keeps my energy up.
Stay away from diet pills, they will mess you up for sure!
@ Miss ASC – I think you meant to advise Osakagirl to cut out simple carbs, not complex. Complex carbs are things such as whole grains that are an important part of a healthy diet 🙂 All of your other suggestions were great though 🙂

I would caution you to stay away from any diet pills. There is no short cut to weight loss, and if I remember correctly you don’t have a lot of weight to lose. Rather I’d focus on toning and eating a healthy diet!

I took that Zenedrin when it was still on the market. To be cautious I took half a pill when the dosage was 2 pills. I broke out in a cold sweat and felt super dizzy. I felt so awful that I never took another one again.

If you drink 3 cups of green tea, it will help to speed up your metabolism. Also, make sure you are drinking plenty of water!! Without water. your body does not work efficiently and can reduce your metabolism rate DRASTICALLY! You can lift weights, muscle burns more calories than fat!
