We’re renewing our vows next month while on holiday in the Caribbean, so of course I’ve stepped up my workouts and cut out the junk from my diet to look good on the day and for the beach in general. But I will not be giving up my chocolate! I’ll work out as much as necessary and give up my chicken kebabs, but I need my chocolate every single day and I’d honestly rather gain 10 kilos than go without it! What are the biggest things you’ve made yourselves give up and what can’t you go without?

I’m the exact same! I cannot and will not consider giving up my chocolate. But instead of having a bar, I have a square of dark chocolate. Does the trick, for a 10th of the calories!

I’m a RunnerBee training for a half marathon, so I would DIE if I couldn’t eat my weight in pasta every day!

I’ve been dieting since October, and I’ve not given up anything; I just calorie-count.
I’ve lost 1.5 stone and kept it off, so, it works for me. I find if I forbid myself something, I just crave it more, and I believe no food is intrinsically ‘bad’; it’s all about moderation.
Eg if I fancy chocolate, I will have chocolate; but I’ll have something like one single, nice chocolate, or a Jaffa Cake, rather than a big bar. If I’m going out for dinner and know I’ll end up ordering pizza, I’m just more careful for the rest of the day. Etc.

I cannot give up coffee with Irish cream. I know that cream is awful for me, but I will give up everything but. 🙂
