I’m looking for a birdcage veil. Has anyone noticed a difference in the quality of the birdcage veils from some of the less expensive vendors (about $40) vs. some of the expensive vendors (about $150). Is there a difference in the fabric? Since my hubby and I are just planning this after thought wedding reception, I’d really rather not spend $150 on a veil…
That said, any vendor recommendations?

French netting is french netting. The first veil is $35.00 – the 2nd veil is $129.00. I don’t see much of a difference.

to my untrained eye, i say the 2nd one looks softer but that could be the photography & lighting as well

No, I’ve looked at a lot of them and they are all the same. I would never pay more than $40 for one. You can get the fabric for one for $8 and make your own.

There’s an etsy store that sells the kit for really cheap – it’s enough of the netting to make a full veil and complete instructions – for $15.00 it’s worth a shot and it would be so fun to make it yourself.

OKay, thanks! I’m not a DIY-er at all, but I purchased one for $25. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
Oh, in terms of “softness” all you need to do is sprinkle some water on it, and the fabric will soften. The hardness is called “sizing.”
