I am doing all different Dessy BM dresses in charcoal gray. To make it easy on the girls, I let them pick their own shoes, in silver or gray (some sisters were super tall, some short, some girls wanted to rock stilettos, some wanted a small kitten heel).
So my next question is, do I let them pick their own jewelry? Because there are different necklines, including some that shouldn’t wear necklaces, I don’t know if I should buy those girls earrings and buy the girls with strapless dresses a necklace, or if I should let people do their own thing (with a few restrictions obviously) since I’m already headed that way anyway? Or do I want accessories to match since the dresses aren’t the same?
I was thinking about telling them to do something with pearls, and see what they came up with (and stick to gold or silver- which is another story- does gold go with gray?) If some wanted to wear pearls earrings, or a single long strand of pearls, or a short pearl necklace, would that make it unified enough?
Appreciate the thoughts! I want the girls to look unique and beautiful- I just don’t want people to say, “What was she thinking?!”
Here are the dresses the girls have:

I think the pearls idea is great. Any pearl necklace or earrings would work because it’s cohesiveness is that they all wear pearls. Similar to the idea that they all wear gray.
By the way, those dresses are AMAZING!

I’d let them choose their own. If they are different style dresses I assume they would have different necklines which would suit different necklaces. But then again, I am a sucker for non-matching bridesmaids. I vote to let them show their own style all the way.

I would go with pearls. Tell them to accessorize the way they want, as long as it is pearls.

I agree with mamasita2004. My bridesmaids are all wearing different dresses I love the idea of different dresses I actually made my decision about the matter while sitting at my FI brothers wedding , his wife made all her bridesmaids wear the same dress. It was a very unflattering dress for some ( The girls ranged in size from 0 – 20 ) It was obvious that the bigger girls we self contious and uncomfortable ( I really felt for them because I am a curvy size 12 myself) I told my bridesmaids they could pick their own dreeses ( all the same color) and jewellry as long as it was wedding appropriate I’m going to have everyone to my house the week of the wedding for like a little dress rehersal so we can see how we all look togather.
