I usually would have reallocated to the photography, but from reading your choices, it *sounds* like the dress would be a better place to spend it.  Besides, why get tons of pics in a dress you don't love??

Oh dress for sure! If you could afford the dress you love with that extra money, then I say go for it!

If it is your dream dress... go for it.  You don't ever want to say "Everything was perfect but..."

I was also going to say a second photographer, but after seeing all of the choices, I would put it toward your dress, so you can get the one you will be happy with. It won't matter how good the pictures are or how many photographs you have, if you aren't happy.

You're only spending $400 on your dress, yet you're gifting your attendants beer, wine, and pearls?! I'm not usually a proponent of spending $ on clothes, but this is one time you can make an exception!

DRESS. You can always save up for photo prints AFTER the wedding, but the dress really needs to be purchased BEFORE. Plus, it's great to wear something you love :)

Dress. You can't save up for the dress after the wedding, but you can pay for prints as you get more money in the future.

@Min - haha... beer and wine aren't so expensive, and I live very near one of the largest pearl ports in the world, so those will come cheap too (they're only expensive in America because of the export and import taxes - which I don't have to pay if I buy them as gifts!)

Here's the dress, if anyone is curious... Difficult choice... : wedding 9857

I've found her for $500 + S/H online. My total wardrobe budget is $400, so I have to get cheap-o shoes, haha. I'll DIY my veil (tulle birdcage) and put cups in the dress so I won't need a bra, hopefully.

hooooraaaaaaaaaaay! I just showed J this poll (told him not to scroll down and look at the comments) and he was like, "why are you even asking this? Spend it on your dress."

I love him so freaking much.

I would put the extra money in possibly an "overflow" category, so if you go over budget on any of the areas, you'll have that little bit of extra money you could use towards whatever you want.  So maybe get the dress you want and if there's still extra money in ther "overflow" category you can still use it towards something else! :)

I would for sure add it to your dress budget, since only another $250 will let you get your dream dress!  Which photog did you end up choosing??

if you found a dress that you love (which you have), i would say go for the dress. if you hadn't found a dream dress yet and were just deciding to up your dress budget, i would have suggested one of the other options, but if you know where the money is going to go and it's for something that will make you really happy, then...

You can always make your own album on Blurb.com for super cheap.  I did that with my photos and no one believes me when I say I designed the album myself.  I voted dress!

I think a second shooter is less bang for your buck than the dress.  Go for the dress and then you'll feel like a superstah when you are photographed!
