There are some this I personally wouldn’t fight about. Hair is one of them. Talk to her and say you would really like her to wear her hair uphut if she chooses not to, that you understand and it isn’t worth a big blow up about. When you make the other person come across as unreasonable, then they may give in a little.

You’re being unreasonable. I won’t wear my hair up for anything because I have hair growingdown my neck and it looks awful. Plus updos are uncomfy. Just let it go. She may have reasons and there’s no reason to make her uncomfortable.

Honestly let it go. I think ditacting peoples hair and makeup at weddings is a bit much. If she doesn’t want to wear her up, it’s not going to have any impact on your wedding day. YOu made a request she turned it down, and she is an adult and has the right to decide how she would like her hair. I don’t think she is being unreasonable.

She’s your sister, it shouldn’t be a big deal to her to comply with your request for a few hours.

I would also let this one go and let your sister wear her hair how she wants. I have only one sister and the only thing I said to her was please don’t make your hair identical to mine! lol. I didn’t even know how my husband’s sisters would wear their hair when they showed up.

My SIL required that all of our hair was up, done by her hair people, we pay for it, and that it was SYMMETRICAL. So. I’d say that you’re not near as bad.

I told my sister she has to cover up her tattoos (which, IMHO, is worse than saying that she has to wear her hair a certain way).  I’m on your side.  It’s your day.  She should be able to bend to your wishes for 6 hours!
