Bees, I don't know whether to be happy about this or not.

My BF and I got into a fight Friday night and I told him to go see his mother alone.  I won't get into the details, but let's just say he said something about me physically that I took offence to.  I was so upset, I asked him to see his mother alone.

He did actually leave, but his mom came to pick me up.  I figured she would see past the "she's not feeling well" excuse, and she did.  When she asked what was wrong, I kind of sobbed out what he said.  She gave me a hug and told me about some of her experiences, said she had made a special dinner, and drove me over to her home.  She actually ended up getting my absolute favorite food for us, which was extremely thoughtful.  She had planned for it the entire week.

BF and I are okay now, I opened up about some of my fears and after a few other misunderstandings he told me a few things.  He didn't want me out of his life, and he will probably be ready to get married in two years or so.

Well.  I'm not reading into it... but I want a two year engagement, so I'm a little... excited?  He's not one to mince words often, but I didn't question it.

His mother and I went on a solo shopping trip also, which was nice.  And weird.  She also is enlisting my help with fixing up her home, which I'm excited about.

He also let me redo his bathroom... which I had begged to do and dropped after he said there was nothing wrong with it.

So, I wanted to get this out.  I don't want to share it with my friends or family.  I thought perhaps the semi-anonymous WB forumn would be a nice place.

That's really great that his parents are so involved with you.  Usuaully they don't do that until they know that their kid is serious about the relationship with you.  Since she is taking you out shopping and wants your help with decorating, she definetly likes you!  I'm glad you got things worked out with the BF too.

It was surprising.  But very nice.
