So we have officially decided on the Mexican Riviera for our honeymoon. We are working with a travel agency and they set up a honeymoon registry for us to use if we want.
Some of the activities aren’t us and our hotel is all inclusive so I’m unsure of why food and drinks are on there! But nonetheless it’s just a way for people to donate to our honeymoon. We recieve a check at certain intervals and it would really help us out.
Anyway, Do you think it would be appropriate to list a digital camera/waterproof camera/video camera on the online honeymoon registry?
My mom said no since she thinks all things must be travel related on the list, but I disagreed…I would love to have these to document our travels and look at our memories down the line..
Oh. and P.S.: We are also registering at Macy’s, and Sur La Table so no room to register for techy type stuff….

I think that’s an awesome idea! I love my waterproof Sony, I’ve taken it on a few trips.

We had considered registering for a video camera, but we only registered at Pottery Barn & Williams Sonoma so we would have had to start a new registry at a totally different store just for one item, which seemed silly.
Personally I don’t have a problem with it being on there. There are people who register for TVs, furniture, etc. so I don’t see why its really inappropriate

@adoc86: Yeah we are in the same boat…dont want to start a whole another registry for a couple items.
We are also thinking about listing a honeymoon photo shoot on the list because our hotel offers it for free (Secrets) but you have to pay for the images…

I think that’s a great idea!! One of my best friends just got married, and as a wedding gift, her husband bought her a Sony A3000 as a wedding gift, so they could have great pictures on their honeymoon. And I was immediately jealous and feeling like my point-and-shoot wouldn’t cut it for my Hawaiian honeymoon. Maybe I will add it to our honeymoon registry! (Or just use some of the money we’ve already accumulated on the registry for a camera… hmm). But I never would have thought of this, I don’t think, so thank you!

If you want it then why not? We’re asking for one for Christmas.
