So ladies.., i have straightish hair.. I want wavy hair. I can’t do my hair everyday. I have an 8 month old and 3 step children.
Has anyone heard of a digital perm? They have been big is Korea and Japan for years. They are just starting to pop up in Korean/Japanese salons here in mn.
I really want one. There is a place in Minneapolis called Shin Salon or something. i read a blog and this girl got one for $150, that’s including tip. It will evidently last 6-8 months and if you are lucky, a year..
so any advice or info on them?
This is my hair normall. (That’s not me)
and this is what I want!

I’m intrigued… is there really such a thing? That would be like magic!

I’ve never heard of them until your post, now I want one too!

I would LOVE to get one! I too have ridiculously straight, thick boring hair. No way can I curl it on a regular basis. However, the machine looks like something from a Sci-Fi movie.. lol

My hair is the same texture but shorter, more like a bob. I have been growing it out since our wedding two years ago when I had a Rihanna-esque mohawk. In March I broke down and my sister, a cosmetologist, gave me an old school perm. I love it! Most days I wake up and just throw curl gel in my hair and go. The next day I tend to have perfectly wavy hair and don’t have to do anything to it.
I say go for it. Worst case senario you can straighten your hair or wear it in a bun or something, right?
Let me know where you go and how it ends up looking! I live in the area too 🙂

One of my friends got this done a few years ago. If I’m thinking of the right perm (she loves changing up her hair), she was in that salon for hours on end. It did last a long time, but the curls looked a lot messier than the picture you uploaded. It could’ve been her hair texture though (thick and a little wavy).

Here’s a short video that explains it all

The hair in the second picture you posted is most definitely curled with a curling iron. Without a doubt. I curl my hair every day and it takes 20-25 minutes. It’s really not that bad!
