@missfrillycoat:  Do you have any more pictures of the room?  My initial reaction is that it looks like the canvas on the painting is about the same color as the wall.  I would tend to suggest painting the walls.  Perhaps a heathery grey or very faint light blue.

@missfrillycoat:  First of all, I LOVE your table!!!  That is so pretty!!

I’m not sure whether this is your style, but I am totally obsessed with mixing darker woods with light grays.  I have a thread on here about recently redecorating my sunroom (pictures included!).  The wall color we used is Benjamin Moore Cement Gray – it has a slightly bluish hue to it, which I think would look lovely in your dining room.  You could even paint the insides of your white shelves that color too.  I think it would really make the room pop.  Add a few white objets d’art on your table, and you’ll be all set!

@missfrillycoat:  Thanks so much!!!  I think your dining room looks nice as is.  Adding the blue to the shelves would be a nice extra touch.  Keep me posted on whether you end up painting your bedroom!!

I love the painting! To me it looks like you just need a big colorful rug. Nothing too loud, but maybe a simple pattern with shades of blue and a coordinating table runner. I think that would tie in all the neutrals nicely.

I love the table & the painting!!! Maybe paint just the wall with the painting on it. I think a light blue or green would look awesome. I agree with adding a big rug too, that would help add some color.
