Hi, I want to make my menu look fancy. I am thinking of using courses (Ex: First course, Second Course)
Do I do the appetizers as the first course? And Salad is the Second? I am having a pasta dish…would that be the third course? And then does the entree be listed as entree or as fourth course?

Definitely hors d’oeurves would be first, followed by a salad, then an entree, then dessert.

Appetizers would be considered a first course if they are plated and served to each person at the table (I believe). If you want them to sound fancy I would say “Hors d’œuvre.”
Then the salad would be the first course, pasta second, and entree third.
