@VossinatorsButterfly:  Well, I haven’t really hosted dinner parties per se, but when people come over, I make southern food or fish dishes per their requests. I make collard greens (apparently no one knows how to do that anymore), lemon pepper cat fish, homemade cornbread, homemade mac n cheese (sometimes with smoked gouda, like you), and some sort of homemade lemonade. Other times, I make salmon fillets with this rub I put together wrapped in bacon, sauteed shrimp, asparagus, onion potatoes and garlic bread. I know the garlic bread is random, but it’s REALLY good!

I can make pretty much anything, but for some reason, this is what I’m asked to make. I’m moving back home soon with a lot more people and a best friend who can’t cook (she wants me to teach her), so I KNOW I will be making a lot more things more often.

You sound like an awesome cook, by the way. 🙂

Thanks for making my mouth water! lol Great menu from last week and what you are about to make. I love to invite everyone over for dinner and my FI loves any opportunity to pull out his grill. My fave is mostly southern dishes too. Especially my seafood rice, BBQ porkchops/chicken/ribs and some shrimp kabobs. Pretty basic but I could eat it everyday 😉

@VossinatorsButterfly:  it is indeed and so does my FI, he loves his grilling apron and feeling like the man for sure. Its too funny we will attempt to make a grill fest out of anything. Sausages, make honey roasted corn on the cob grilled, etc. Happy eating!
