I would suggest that it depends on the location of your facility. If it's fairly easy to find simply putting the street address (that I assume is on the inviation) then don't worry about it. If it's tricky to get to or you're afraid people will get lost then make yourself a little google map (you can make custom maps on their site and then save the image). I'd use mapquests directions since I still have trouble with Google's every once in a while.

What we did was lead in from 4 directions, those coming from the north, the south, the east and the west. We did a "part 1" that was unique to each. Once the directions became the same for each direction, we did a "part 2" that was all the same. That may not make any sense. If it doesn't let me know and I'll give you more information.

It's nice to have directions but I've been invited to many weddings where I just had to mapquest it. Another option is to put detailed directions and a map on your website and mention that on the hotel card. Good luck!

I am sending out my invitations very soon and we did not included directions. We did include hotel info though. We started looking into making them but deceided against it. It seemed too complicated and we are having people coming from all directions it would be too hard to cover everyone plus where the ceremony is is easy to find, & I know alot of people would mapquest/google it anyway. What we are doing instead is including the  directions from the ceremony to the reception site on the back of our programs. We figured this would be helpful especially for out of town guests that are not too formaliar with the area.

I have decided to print out the directions and accomodation information on my own ( I ordered my invitations seperately).  Like BonnieBell said, I am going to give directions from the north south east and west, and I am also going to put down my wedding website on the card and will have maps and directions on there as well.

    Good lulck!  :)

If most of your guests are staying at the same hotel, you might want to create a package for them when they check in.  You could then include directions from the hotel to the ceremony, cermony to reception, and from the reception back to the hotel.  You could also include a list of close restaurants and directions to the nearest drug store (oriented from the hotel).  I would think that would be good enough for most of your guests.

some venues (especially popular hotels/banquet spaces) have direction cards they can give you.  maybe check with yours?

If you included addresses for the hotel, venue and ceremony location then don't worry about it.  The miracle of mapquest will make it easy for guests to find thier way.
