Well my dress finally came in and I went to try it on today which I was looking forward to however, now I am stressed, the dress had catches in the satin all the way down the left hand side from top to bottom with the most noticable one on the bust, it does not show up in a photo and is possible not that bad in person but, when I pay around £1,100 for a dress I expected it to be perfect, the shop were very good and are going to get it sorted but my wedding is 5 weeks away tomorrow so am very stressed about it!, well I have another dress that I originally brought and then had dress regret about, I have not been able to sell my first dress and when I have had peopel enquire I have always doubted I want to sell it, anyway and I was looking at photos of it incase of a worse case scenario and my damaged dress does not arrive in time and, I am now wondering if I made a mistake getting a second dress, I first had doubts on my first dress after some comments from friends about it being too blingly and the shape looking funny on me mainly that it starts to come out too low but, after looking at the photos again today I am wondering if the shape looks better than the second dress I purchased and am planning to wear providing it arrives in time, so for hopefully the last time I am asking all bees which dress ? any comments aswell would be gratefully appreciated and sorry for the long post!
Dress 1 (my original dress I had dress regret about)
Dress 2 (the damaged dress which the shop have assured will come in in time)

Personally I love dress #1 on you- it’s a bit more unique. I don’t think it’s too blingy at all. However, you seem A LOT happier in dress #2, so I think that’s your answer. You know in your heart which one you love most!

@balletbride: to be honest they are exactly the same shape. They both look great. However I have a soft spot for the Adorae, I nearly bought it! Go with your gut, and if it gets really close to your wedding and the bridal shop havnt delivered is there major alterations to be done on dress #1?

I think the shape of the second dress is slightly more flattering. I like the material on the first one better though personally. You seem happier in pictures in the second dress so maybe that’s a sign. If I had to pick one for you, I’d pick the first one because it looks a little more unique. I hope your dress arrives back in time!

I love the 2nd dress on you! The first one is also very pretty (the beading, in particular), so you really can’t lose!

Gosh – they’re both beautiful and both fit you very well. I do love the hem line of #1! Either way, you’re going to look great. 🙂

They are very similar shapes but the Adorae looks so much more difficult to walk and dance in. I think they are both beautiful and you have a great backup plan in case your 2nd dress doesn’t get there in time. Is the shop/manufacturer willing to fully refund the 2nd dress if it doesn’t get there in time? I should certainly hope so

I think they both look amazing on you. I would personally choose the first dress, but I think that’s because of the fabric. I know someone who chose their dress on the day of their wedding – wait for the other dress to come in, put them both on, make sure they are both available on the day and go with your heart. Either way, you WILL look stunning.

I think both look great. Keep your first dress because if the 2nd dress doesn’t come in in time you’ll have that first dress to fall back on. Both give you great shape and are gorgeous. Don’t fret, just relax and know it will all work out.

I love dress #2 on you as well, the material seems to make you shine brighter (in a very good way!) and goes better with your skin tone. You seem much happier in it!

They are VERY similar, and are both gorgeous! Would the store refund the damaged dress if you chose to go with dress 1? When you put the dresses on is there one that just feels better? i cant really explain it, but when I put my dress on it just feels like “home” – is there one dress that does that for you moreso than the other?

@balletbride: I think the second dress has massive WOW factor. I hope they can get everything straightened out for you.

I prefer dress 2 🙂 you look really lovely in both, though.

I voted for dress 1- I’m not really a satin kind of girl so I wasn’t a huge fan of the material for number 2. IMO the styles are really similiar so it just depends on which one you like better.

I think #2 is slightly more flattering, because of the placement of the belt, but honestly they are so similar that I don’t think you can go wrong either way. I think if I were you – being so close to your wedding date – I would try and get a refund from the dress store, and stick with your original dress. Then at least you would have the certainty of knowing what you’ll be wearing on your wedding day, and can plan/accessorise accordingly and move on.
