My wedding photographer just cancelled on me today and told me too bad! I can’t believe it. My wedding is in a couple of months! If I cancelled on her, I would be out the deposit. Now I need to find a new photographer in this short time. Any thoughts on what to do?
Do not hire her. She will cancel on you and tell you too bad. She has no business integrity, is completely unprofessional and will screw up your wedding day.

oh no! were abouts are you located? Im sure a bride on here will know an alternative! did you lose your deposit?
that’s terrible. did she have any valid reason for that?
where is your wedding? i might know someone in your area. I’m pretty well connected to other photographers.

That is so unprofessional. I hope she gave your deposit back! Where are you located? I’ll see if I can help you find a replacement.

Did you sign a contract? I would look over it and see if she’s even allowed to do that. Obviously you don’t want to try to force her to shoot your wedding because then you would have to worry if she would retaliate by doing a bad job- however if you do have a contract you might want to speak to a lawyer and see if she is responsible for any extra money you end up having to pay because of this…

Did you have any kind of contract that addresses this? (probably not if she’s sheisty to begin with…but..). Good luck on finding another photog..a couple months is doable! Be glad it isn’t the week before or something awful like that.

According to your date, your wedding already passed. is that not the case?
Sorry for your misfortune with the photog. not good.

Yes there was a contract. Nope she didn’t give a reason, just cancelled and gave me the deposit back. That’s all she owes me she said. It is unfortunate someone in the wedding business would act like this. I am in the process of finding a new wedding photographer. And, HOPE TO GOD, that they decide to cancel if they feel like it AFTER I sign the contract. Stress…stress!
Just wanted to give all you other brides a heads-up, because this too could happen to you.

Tammynize created a screen name and is trying to get this thread deleted. I know it’s three months old, but didn’t know if you cared or not…or even if you still come to this site.

@SM1982: I saw that too, and highly doubt they will delete it without some kind of proof that it’s false. Her best bet would probably be to come on here and defend her decision.

I really doubt they will delete this. They shouldn’t delete it anyway. Bad service deserves a bad review, and potential clients deserve to hear unbiased testimonials. Ah, the wonders of the internet! The photographer could post trying to explain her position, but the whole post should not be deleted.

Ah ha! Thank you, beekiss. 🙂 Here was the response to her request:
“I’m sorry but we only accept delete requests from the original poster. If you are unhappy with the content of the post, I would recommend you address your concerns in a reply, rather than attempt to have the post removed. We do not delete vendor reviews on Weddingbee. Thank you.”
That would make sense… Imagine if they went around deleting any post someone asked them to! 🙂
