I am wondering if anyone else is planning a Disney World Honeymoon! Or for the readers who have already been there, are there any hotels you would recommend? Any websites with good deals?
Does anyone know where I can get a discount for Disney World tickets??

Two of my cousins honeymooned in Walt Disney World and had a great time! One of them combined a few days at Disney with a Disney cruise – best of both worlds! I have stayed at quite a few hotels in Disney, and here are my recommendations.
For a very nice, but low key and slightly removed hotel experience, I recommend Old Key West resort, located on the Lake Buena Vista golf course. If you want something a little closer to the action, then I recommend the Boardwalk which is located on the same body of water as the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, and the Swan and Dolphin resorts. Those hotels are nice because you can take a boat to some of the parks, as opposed to the bus. You may also want to look into the Bay State Towers, which is a new project for Disney. Additionally, Disney either has, or will, open some glamorous camping ("glamping") cabins. For a more moderately priced experience, the Caribbean Beach Resort gives you a more tropical feeling.
Additionally, I echo that the Grand Floridian is just beautiful.
Remember, just because you’re staying at one resort doesn’t mean you can’t visit and eat at the others. Disney seems to be offering a lot of special packages right now. If you have it narrowed down to a few hotels, check to see where they are in relation to the parks, because the further away the resort it, the longer the bus rides.
Also, wear the Bride and Groom ear hats! My cousins occasionally got free desserts 🙂
Have so much fun!!

We’re goin next week for out mini moon. To Orlando but not Disney itself. I will say that if you guys are foodies go to Emeril’s for a great night out! It’s pricey but so much fun! are you a AAA member , I believe they offer discounts. but also check out Disney packages if you are from out of state. good luck have fun!

While I’m not going there on my honeymoon, the FI and I went there a couple months ago for vacation. The cheapest tickets I found were through mousesavers. This website is awesome! It offers special deals on hotels, food, and tickets. It also gives lots of tips on where to go at what times, and all that other vital information! We also found it cheaper to pick our tickets up and not have them mailed to our home (it saved us about $15) As for hotels, we stayed off the Disney property at a time share, but if we were to go again, we would definitely stay on the property! Its so beautiful and you get more of that disney experience 🙂 Besides, taxies and shuttles can add up fast!
