That looks entirely fake & pretty lame honestly. I am surely glad my FH proposed in an intimate restaurant & didnt make a theatrical production out of it! LOL!
I was just in Dinsey this past weekend & I seriously dont look that way either.
Aw...I think it's kind of cute, but I don't think it's real at all. Just look at the production value of the video--there is special lighting on everyone's faces, the singers are obviously wearing microphones to get that good of sound, and they have multiple cameras filming it! Only if the guy works for Disney could he have set that all up and have it be real. Cute, though.
Yeah, apparently both the guy & the girl worked for Disneyland, which is where they met a year prior to the "proposal." So maybe he could have staged this if he's already a performer there. But still, the big-budget production (sound quality, multiple cameras, lighting) seems to give it away.
I agree, the only way it could be real is if he staged it with Disney prior to and was a "cast member" before. I don't think the girl needed to be, but he has to be a performer... that's something that would have to be done with hookups. And yes, the video was professional, which means it's either completely fabricated, or Disney was in on it and thought it would be a good promotional thing.

I agree nada122, I think it was totally a promotional thing. They even sing in the song about Disney's theme this summer. I think most of it was pretty corny though :\
Haha I thought it was cute, but my husband said (if it were a real proposal) that was too show-y opposed to being personal. Being a big musical fan I thought it was cute but I take his points too.
FI just fowarded this to me. I'll be honest, I was a little teary eyed even though it is verrrryyyy cheesy...i blame my crazy hormones
It is a fake. Disney used this as part of their What Will You Celebrate? promotion.

Update: Since this ran, we've received information from a tipster informing us that the video is a fake: the actress who plays "Erika" has a different boyfriend In Real Life. Which means that this is, indeed, purely for PR, and the Lamest Scam Ever.
I had seen that a year maybe 2 ago. I think its totaly fake and would be horrified if my SO did that!
Totally fake. Look at all the camera angles, the most wholesome looking BF and GF, the fact that he totally sounds like he sings in a musical...yeah I am NOT buying it.
I actually know one of the people who was responsible for that video. I cannot remember why it was made, but it is definitely not a real engagement. As a matter of fact, if you had done a little more searching you will find 2 seperate videos of this proposals done at 2 different times of the day.

I found this while reading Jezebel this morning. Viewers aren't sure if the video is real or not. If so, it would require a whole lot of staging & preparation! I guess your views one way or the other might depend on how pro-Disney you are... ?
