I have read them all (working on the very last). I like them. I liked Hunger Games better, but its pretty good.

I have a thing for distopia though! 🙂

I read the books and saw the movie. The books are good, but I sort of hate how it all ends and want to throw the third book into a river.  The movie was a pretty decent adaptation of the book.

I saw the movie but have not read the books.  Everyone clapped at the end, and I honestly don’t know why.  It was entertaining, but it wasn’t that fantastic. The ending wasn’t good in my opinion.

It’s nice to know this is part of a series because that ending…it’s just awful.  It seems to me that everything will just go right back to the way it was since they left certain people alive who can re-make certain…weapons.  Hope that’s not too much of a spoiler.  It was a very lackluster ending for me.  Really stupid decision for the characters to leave the way they did.  Maybe it makes more sense in the book?

I did read the Hunger Games trilogy and watched the movies.  The movies are AMAZING!  The 2nd one may be the BEST book to movie adaptation I’ve ever seen.  The books themselves are suuuuuuper depressing and dark.  I enjoy the movies 100x more.

I’m reading the last book, but haven’t seen the movie yet. They were recommended to me (along with the Delirium series) after I read the Hunger Games series. Yes, they’re for YA, but I really enjoyed them! Super easy to read, too.

I am an avid Hunger Games fan. I love love love the distopia.

This came as a complete shock to all my friends then, but I really disliked Divergent. And I can’t even specifically point out why, I just really, really, really disliked it. I have very little desire to see the movie because of that.

But I’m hearing good things, so we’ll see.

The book is far better than the movie.

I never read the books, but saw the movie this weekend. My favorite part was watching Theo James. He’s so beautiful!!

I loved it! I was so tense during the whole movie because I was excited to see what was going to happen next. I haven’t read the books but I’m going to as soon as they’re back in my library!

I love the books and the movie! Although the movie definitely cut out A LOT from the book, it was still very enjoyable. My fiance had never read the book and he really liked the movie.

I love the first two books in the series, but the last one is terrible and isn’t really worth your time. It kind of ruined the series for me. Terrible way to end it. I liked the movie, but it wasn’t amazing by any means. I feel like it wasn’t as exciting as the books.

mm86:  The books aren’t awful.  I also liked the Hunger Games better.

YA isn’t usually too awful.  The only difference I’ve found in the sci fi/fantasy/dystopian future stuff is that the sex is implied, compared to an adult fiction book.  There are a lot of great YA books that are very popular with adults.

I’m reading the third book right now, and have plans to see the movie with my teen daughter. I also agree that the series isn’t quite as good as Hunger Games, but I am enjoying it. The second book was a little too action oriented for my taste, but it held my attention. I keep hearing the ending to the series really sucked, so we’ll see(I’ve dealt with crappy endings before…..Stephen King’s Dark Tower series anyone?).
