I seriously saw a commercial on TV this evening for divorce insurance. They stated that 65% of marriages don’t make to the 20 year anniversary so why not “protect yourself if things don’t work out?” THIS is part of the reason why the sanctity of marriage is completely shot in today’s society! This has got to be the “easiest way out” I have EVER heard of in a marriage. Are any other bees completely blown away by this nonsense?!

That sounds like a really easy thing to fraud. Single person marries their buddy. Divorce. Money!

@aggie2010: They probably pay out the money you lose in the split, so no money made per se. Just a guess though.

It makes sense to me, even if it is a bit odd.
I don’t mind it.
I don’t think this is one of the reasons the sanctity of marriage is being challenged. I think it’s a response to all of the divorces that are happening, and that it’s a logical response at that.
