So it’s still a work in progress but what do you guys think. Ill explain the process (although I know its everywhere) considering I changed a few items to make it more economical. Total cost: $32.00 and approx. three nights of work.
Im not in love with the letter in the middle that I freehanded – so I might start over but FH convinced me it looks great. Our colors are shimmery cooper brown & blue. Amazingly I found the exact brown in acrylic paint at Michaels for $1.99. Thank God for the internet – amazing the patterns that our out there. I wanted a more natural vintage-y feel – since our ceremony’s outside. What do you think? Please be honest.
Finished product will be posted soon. Might add our names or wedding date along the sides or below the pattern.
Suggestions/comments super welcomed!
Original Pattern from Internet (source on pattern)
Plain Fabric – Cost $25 for seven yards (poly/cotton blend)
Freehanded "R" for FH’s family name over traced pattern

OMG That’s so awesome! I like it! I can’t wait to see the final product, either! I like adding the family name to make it personal. I’ve gotta look into making one, too, when the time comes.. This is great!!!

I think that turned out good! Just an FYI for anyone else wanting to decorate their own runner…. save-on-crafts.com has aisle runners for $10!
I’m doing the time consuming task of hot glueing silk rose petals to mine, it’s costing about $20. they only allow real petals at the location, and i don’t think im paying 100 bucks for those!
