I've been looking at table number cards all over the place and they seem to cost SO much money, what the heck?  I can tell already that there are a large number of crafty people on this site.  Can you guys give me suggestions and/or pictures of the things you've come up with?  I love a good project!

PS. My colors are plum/eggplant (depending on who you ask) & white, if that's necessary at all.

Check out the DIY section of Weddingbee. (It's 2 tabs over from the Boards tab.) Under the heading Paper, you'll see a tab labeled table cards.  Past bees have been very creative. You will get all sorts of ideas from them.  Good luck.

we are actually saving on the table numbers and printing vintage postcards which we found on the internet on nice cardstock with persons name on the back - the postcard location matches the table names ( per state, city, etc) however with your color scheme consider making your table numbers a favor as well so they go to good use - bc of your color scheme, if its rustic think about using succulent plants and just printing on nice cardstock names & numbers and placing corresponding ones on the tables in the centerpiece for example.

Also, just get a styrofoam piece ( square of circle) and glue flowers to it - whatever you perfer and just place nice printed cardstock with number on it and do the same for escort cards - but a really big one and them just fold cardstock so its stands and place name and table number on it.

Hope this helps although i know this sounds complicated in writing :) wine is another option for table numbers doubling as favors!

We're having no numbers at all- just photos and names of places we've lived in and traveled to (e.g. France, Egypt, Ecuador,etc.).  Doesn't have anything to do with our aubergine/fuchsia/gold scheme, but I love it anyway!

I didn't have table cards but I'm sure you can find something at Michaels and find a coupon for them online by googling Michael's coupons.
