So after doing my first crinoline, I wasn’t THAT happy with the color, I knew it wouldn’t be the color I wanted because it was Polyester but I did it anyways to see. Well I have that crinoline to sell if someone else might want it, it only cost me 15 bucks to do it, so no biggie.
For my second one, I bought a Davids Bridal full crinoline and that one is cotton so I knew it would take the color better than the first one. I did it with the washer method.
I LOVE IT!!!! It came out perfectly! I’ll do a tutorial on the DIY boards later on but just wanted to show you the end result because I’m THAT happy with it! I get to try it with my dress and shoes in two weeks, YAY!!!
So here it is!
Sooooo happy! Ok now onto my next project for the day -guestbook hehe

@mypinkshoes: Thanks! I am super pleased with it! I’m wearing for Future Mother-In-Law to get home so I can try it on with the shoes so she can take pics. It’s pretty much the same color 🙂

I love it! I am also coloring my crinoline royal blue! What type of dye did you used and what color did you used? because that is exactly what I am looking for. 🙂

@Genny1687: I used the RIT liquid dye. Using the washing machine method, I did 2 bottles of Royal Blue and 1 bottle of Evening Blue, 2 cups of salt like the instructions say. If you go on the RIT site, they actually have really good instructions on how to do it with the washing machine. That’s what I used and it was easy.
@imalittlebirdie: Thanks hun!

Love that color! So why couldn’t do you re-dye the other one this color, instead of buying another one? Because it was polyester?
