I’m going to DIY mine all by myself with my new camera and a tripod.  A few hotels in the city do hourly/day rates (higher end hotels, not the seedy ones with heart shaped hot tubs 😉 ), and I’m going to take that route.  I imagine I’ll spend about $50 on the room.  I want luxe sheets, awesome furniture, great drapes… none of which I have at home 🙂

As for clothing, I’m going to go both routes: natural/myself and vamp/vavavoom.  I’ll steal one of his work shirts to roll around in with minimal make up, then switch it up to some outrageous black number with sky high stilettos… you get the idea.

If I fail miserably, well I’m only out maybe $100… but if they turn out awesome, that’s perfect.  I just refuse to spend $850 on this experience (which is what a typical studio is trying to charge).

@KristenGotMarried: You’ll totally have to give us a recap when you’re all said and done! I totally love your idea!
