Buttom mums are much smaller than spider mums. You could probably get away with as little as 5 blooms per bouquet with the spider mums depending how full you want them to be. I used the button mums mixed in with the bridesmaid's flowers and I think I bought 12 packages for their bouquets and all our centrepieces.
If that bouquet you pictured is what you have in mind, I cout 16 heads just in that portion of the bouquet, which I say is maybe 1/10 of the bouqet.. Depending how many heads there are per stem (I figured about 3-4 per stem), you could need about 40-50 stems?

Hello Bees!
I am a DIY bride looking for bouquet advice. I am considering either green spider mums or green button mum bouquets. Button mums seem to be a much more vibrant green, but I'm wondering how many blooms I would need to make a bridesmaid bouquet. Did anyone use only spider mums or only button mums? How many blooms did you use per bouquet?
Thank you for your advice!
