I have never seen anything like that. Super Cute! We did DIY Boutonnieres but did a basic starfish on a pin.
Those look so nice - I love the colors you chose! I made fabric bouts, too, but not like that. I just kind of wadded/twisted some fabric and glued it.
I used guinea feathers too. Don't you just adore them? Great work!

Thanks everyone! These were my 1st real DIY project so I was afraid I was the only person who was going to like them lol! Well my fiance does, but he likes most everything I do so....you know :) I'm relieved now.

@Doctorgirl; I am in love with the guinea feathers. I think the guinea hen is natures round little pinup girl, with those polka dots lol. Oddly enough, one of my old neighbors used to raise them, and they make the strangest sounds....
Great job... they look lovely! The feathers made me smile. My grandparents used to raise guinea fowl on their farm when I was little. :o)
Aaaww...those are cute! I'm making our boutonnieres too! But are is a beach theme so I'm making it with shells and lavender ribbon!
I think they are adorable! I wish I could make those ribbon and fabric flowers! I say "Go for it", there' is NO reason to waste talent like that!

Has anyone else made their own ribbon bouts like this? I had a really hard time finding pics of them actually ON the grooms or groomsmen!
I am really happy with them; the base bow came from good ol' Martha Stewart's website, and then I just embellished them with a ribbon rose I made and guinea feathers. I think they're cute and will look great with the rest of my Edward Gorey/Victorian/Retro mishmosh wedding.
Plus, my cat seems to just love them.
