@iheartsquishy:  Are those silk flowers? It almost looks like they are on some of the stems–if so, where did you get them?! I can’t find fake cabbage roses anywhere!

@Natalieh86:  How did you get those brooches and pearls in the flowers? Looks fantastic!

@Liss13:  That is an excellent question.  My sister actually did most of the work.  I know it started by threading wire through them.  We already had a lot of pearls on wire stems because we did pearl bouquets for the bridesmaids.

@Natalieh86:  Im a BM in a wedding and the Bride is so in love with a bouquet like this, but to get it done in a floral shop it is averaged at $500!!! Ridiculous. So I am desperate to find it cheaper, but I have never done flowers by myself. I dont want to make crappy flowers for her. Do you have a pic of the BM bouquets somewhere?

@Liss13:  Hey, Natalie86’s sister here (she asked me to respond). Basically just took the fake flowers apart and wrap each ‘stem’ with wire (I actually just did a version of drilling the pearls, So i took a lengh of wire put a pearl  in the middle bent it in half and put the ends around the flower stem, grip that with pliars and then drill on. Usually i ended up using spare pearl steams to reinforce the wire to make it nice and stiff and workable). The brooches I took thin wire and just wherever I could wrapped it then reinforced with ‘upsidedown’ pearl stems. Sometimes I literally pinned stuff to the flowers, big things that I could not get to work with wire. Main point – take apart all the stems of flower from the bunch and wire them and play with it and if you look here for the pearl stem drilling method -it’s a very good method to get nice workable wire. Use a cyrstal to grip it and just cut it off.
