I am planning on wearing heels to the ceremony, and flats to the reception. I’ve been on pinterest looking up a few ideas for DIY shoes… and LOVE the look! However, I’m worried that they might be a little… tacky? I’m planning on rhinestone sequins for my heels, and pearls for my flats (since I love a little bling, but my dress has pearls and lace in it… the best of both worlds 🙂 ) So, what is your opinion on DIY bridal shoes… classy, or tacky? Thanks!

@Syoung1011: I’ve seen ones that I love! There are so many great threads on here for it (search “strassing”)– I love the idea that you can wear both styles since you’re switching shoes. Go for it!

I bought some white plain-jane flats and I’ve seriously considered getting pearls and strassing them, but I’m just SO not sure.
I’m trying really hard to make sure everything I purchase for the wedding, I can wear again, not really sure if I’d wear pearl shoes again. I really don’t LIKE pearls, but my dress is embellished in TONS of pearls, so they kind of match [im super matchy matchy].
I think im going to get a nice pearl shoe clip, if I can find one.

@Syoung1011: I’ve seen some amazing DIY shoes, especially here on Weddingbee. I don’t think I have the patience for it, but go for it!
