This is my updated list. I was going to make my own gown, but I found a great deal on one that cost me less than if I would have made it myself, plus I didn’t want to deal with a bunch of buttons or a corset back.

I’m doing as much as absolutly possible as well! 🙂 The only thing that I’ll probably end up purchasing are my BM’s dresses and wedding gown…but I might just make them to so I’ll have to see! 🙂

I didn’t think to do it that way, but I still found a really good deal without having to do all the work. The reason that I am choosing to make my girls dresses is that I couldn’t find anything close to what I wanted without them being a thousand or more dollars. The dresses have boning and a zipper and a lot of organza and satin. I thought the boning would be brutal, but it is actually pretty easy. I used light sand paper to do the shaping and I have stored it in a loose roll, so I just need to make sure I put it in facing the right way to get the shape.

I’ve been married a month now, and I’m so glad that I did as much of the wedding as I could myself… you ladies won’t regret it!

My husband and I made our own invites, place cards, centerpieces, tulle ceiling, programs, save the dates, and a bunch of other various items… I’ve been blogging about a project a week here: http://www.wcswedding.blogspot.com/

Best of luck to you! 🙂
