So I am putting together a Bridesmaid Survival kit for my ladies… I know that some of them really like Vera Bradley, so I decided to go with Vera Bradley small cosmetic bags as the packaging. They have great sales on certain patterns, and you get a coupon just for signing up, so it works out well!
I was sneaky and figured out their favorite patterns, so I got them each a patterned cosmetic bag that they would enjoy and use again (not necessarily to match my wedding colors).
Then I began filling them with goodies!
1) “Basic” brand individually wrapped facial cleansing/makeup removal cloths
3) Small roll of Tums
4) Travel-size container of Motrin (missing from picture!)
5) Travel-size deodorant
6) Travel-size mouth wash
7) Altoids Smalls
8) Wisp mini toothbrush things
9) Softlips Lip gloss
10) Nail file
11) Hand sanitizer
12) Shout wipes
I am trying to think of what else to add…..
Please help me out! 🙂

Maybe some type of perfume or body spray?
Mini compact mirror
And yes, maybe some chocolates!

@lovelove1028: I think a hair tie is a REALLY good idea. The FIRST thing I want to do after a long night dancing is tie my hair up. If it’s not too much, foldable flats is also a great idea. I think Dr. Scholl’s even makes sort of “one or two time use” ones that are like $8. Even if they just put them on in the car for the walk into the house/to the hotel room, it’s perfect!

@lovelove1028: what about blister block? I love that stuff! It’s Band-Aid brand and you rub the little stick on parts of your feet prone to get blisters.
I also think bobby pins are a must, especially if they will be putting their hair up. Personally, I would like floss since I’m always getting food stuck in my teeth.
Also include a sweet note!

I think band aids are a good idea for people who will be wearing new shoes.

That is a really sweet and thoughtful gift! There are lists of what are in Bridesmaid emergency kits available online. Russell and Hazel has a good list, I don’t have the link but just google for their templates and you’ll find them.
I would try to add things that would be useful overall, not just for the wedding. But one thing you could add is a small card with a needle and some thread in their dress color, but you could probably just as easily have that in your own kit.

LOVE the idea of the foldable flats… they won’t fit in the makeup bag, but I can include them added on..
I’ve never heard of a blister block, but I’ll look into it – that sounds like something I want to own for myself, too! Haha.
And I have been trying to find individually wrapped “floss-ups,” those little floss-on-a-stick things… I love them and use them all the time, but it’ll be weird if they’re not individually wrapped… If not, I’ll see if I can find cheap regular floss! 🙂
Thanks for the ideas, everyone! 🙂

@lovelove1028: I bought my blister block at Target. May actually be something to give them before they put their shoes on. It works really well

Definitely bandaids and hairties. I would also suggest safety pins (big and little) — you never know when you’ll need one. Maybe a travel-size hairspray, if they’re going to be having up-dos?

This is such a great idea!!!

I was thinking about going to the department store and getting perfume samples in great perfumes to put in mine. Some of the brands have nice little bottles and I love having one of these in my purse for a night out. I am hoping my bridesmaids will too!
Also, bandaids are great, but moleskin is heaven sent. If you put a couple pre-cut pieces of molekin in there in case they get blisters, you will be a hit.

Also if you are looking for foldable flats, I got my bridesmaids these:
They have a bunch of different colors on lastcall.com right now. They are cute, and come in a little case that turns into a larger reusable tote to put your heels in when you change. Genius!

bobby pins/hair tie
maybe a small lint roller?

@lovelove1028: First of all, SO SO cute. I like the idea someone said about the foldable flats. Party City (of all places) has a TON.

I added mini sewing kit, nail polish, mini lint roller, safety pins, tampon – just in case!, band aids, granola bar and hershey chocolate bar. Those blister blocks are a great idea, have to look into it! Other stuff: mini compact, bobby pins, disposable razor, q-tips, comb, advil, tums, mints, etc!
