We are DIYing our buffet with the help of various family members and I’m stuck on what to have for side dishes. We will have about 130 people at the reception. We are thinking of chicken, with a choice of pasta and a red sauce or pasta and alfredo sauce (or just the pasta and sauce if a veg.) for the main dish. Then I’d like to have string beans as a side, possibly zuchini too. I don’t know what else to have though. Do we need many more choices? We’ll also have dinner rolls. Then of course drink options. Thanks for the help 🙂

My FBIL is doing our buffet. We are having chicken then a pasta with alfredo sauce for anyone who doesn’t want the meat. The sides will be salad, rolls, green beans, and roasted potatoes. For the potatoes, he is going to take small potatoes and cut them in quarters, then just season them with garlic and olive oil. He made it all for us the other weekend and everything tasted great!

ohhh food! one of the best weddings ive been to had a DIY buffet. There are lots of different things you can pair with the food that you’ve already decided on…maybe garlic bread or bruscetta, roasted potatoes, spinach salad with strawberries, greek salad, or do a mix of roasted veggies…
let us know what you decide!
