Please take a look and let me know what you think! This was a cheap $5 cardboard suitcase I got from TJ Maxx…it was originally purple and black zebra print! I painted it, covered it with burlap, and added some lace trim and cheap wooden letters I got from Michael’s. Total cost was less than $12.00: $5 suitcase, $0.86 acrylic paint, $2.50 burlap, $3.00 wooden letters (came in package of 26 but only used these), lace trim – free, already had.

the only thing that looks a little odd to me (but might be only in the picture), is how you sew /put together the inside…
but if that’s the style you’re going for, then it’s totally fine…
if it were me, i’d probably cover it. either by laying some little fabric inside (like just something you have laying around anyway, maybe a scarf)…or i could also imagine it would go with the theme to use some crumpled up kraft paper or newspaper…
i don’t know how big it is… if those ideas take up too much space, just leave as is 🙂
