I fell in love with a card box I saw for sale on eBay and was determined to re-create it. Here is the finished product. First, is the inspiration photo (brown ribbon). Next is my box with the white ribbon.

Did you make it from shoe boxes? And where did you buy the materials to go over the shoeboxes?

I bought a three pack of paper mache boxes at Michael’s for $8. The fabric came from Hobby Lobby, as did the large faux ring, ribbon, and spray adhesive. I found a site online that walks you through the process for covering a box with fabric. It really wasn’t too bad. It took me two days to complete. The most arduous process was waiting for the paint to dry on the top and bottom boxes.

I’d love to do another project ..my mom brought me to earth and said I’m just wasting money
so I’m handing her all my cards hehehehe, it’s in safekeeping and I don’t have to spend 🙂
