Hi y’all. Do you have any suggestions or ideas on how to cut a clean slit in a box for envelopes? I have a huge Tiffany & Co. box and it will be perfect (and cheap!) to use as a cardbox. I’d hate to do an awful chop-job and ruin it.

you will need a good box cutter draw out the line that you intend to cut and if there are rough ridges left hot glue a ribbon around and inside the corners of the the rectangle to cover up the mess if you have any with the color of your wedding . I am not implying sticking a huge bow in the front but like a nip and tuck job

First, cut a hole in the box with an exacto knife. Then, place a wide satin ribbon with a slit cut in in it over the rough edge of the slot you cut. Nice paper also works for your “cover.”
