I’m doing a vintage/shabby chic wedding in September. I just finished adding the “Card” sign to my birdcage and painted the Guest Book sign. Both the card sign and the guestbook sign have the distressed/crackle paint finish.
I’ve also been messing around with my centerpieces. I will have 3 vintage books on each table, along with 3-5 vintage bottles with dahlias, button poms and globe thistle – a few flower stems in each one. I also have votives for the tables but forgot to include them in the photo.
What do you think? Areas for improvement? Things to add? Any input is appreciated.

These look great! I love the theme, and I think your decor will go perfect with it. It’s just enough, great job!

I love it! Where did you get that bird cage? The books look perfect the theme. What color table linen will your centerpiece be on? I feel like you need a mirror or something for the centerpiece maybe a vintage frame with a number in it for the table number as part of the centerpiece or fill the bottles half way with food colorsing and water to match your wedding colors. Everything looks great but you need just 1 more element to make centerpiece pop. What are your colors?

I got the bird cage at Gordmans for $15 (I had a coupon…I always have a coupon)!
All the linens will be ivory (pretty plain). We’re not doing table numbers as everyone can sit where they want (I know that sounds weird to some, but that’s how weddings are here … I’ve NEVER had assigned seating).
Our colors are navy blue and ivory with gold accents. I threw in washed out/vintage pink flowers to add some color and with the vintage theme, it seems a lot of stuff is brown as well.
The bottles will have real flowers in them (I just used those for an example) and the bottles will have water in them. I also have some wood signs that I was going to use on some of the tables. They’re all different, all related to love/marriage though. Like this:
