Let's try that again...
For some reason, it's not working. Here is a link to the photos!
Those are gorgeous! I wish all my ideas in my head turned out as great as yours did!
i love them! i'm using books too! but i'm thinking of a small floral arrangment on the top. if the budget won't allow it, i'm definitely going to consider a charger and candles. that looks awesome!
@janieleigh I love the idea of using flowers with them! My original idea was to drill a hole through the books wide enough for a single flower to be placed in, but I wasn't that ambitious and I felt kinda bad destroying a book!
We used books too! We picked them up from the local thrift shop and they totally helped cut down on our floral costs.

I love them, the only thing I would say is if you are going to paint them white, make sure that you cover all of the cover with pait, I can still see some of the color of the original cover, I think it looks nice, but it would look better if you couldn't see that part at all.
How about a red rose marking a certain spot in the book? I could also see some ivy trailing about that arrangement?
Very very creative and attractive! Love it!
Bee creativity RULES!
@Blaze Thanks for pointing that out! I am going to handpaint them (experimented with spray paint - doesn't work too well when youre trying to cover leather!) so I can fill in all of the details such as the insides of the covers. Glad to know that the details will go noticed if you skimp on them!
@bellenga The rose is a cute idea! The FI suggested some floppy bookmarks too.
I think they're awesome, and you definitely have to go with that! I love books so much, and would love to go with a similar theme, but my FI's not on the same page when it comes to my passion for reading. Good luck, and great idea - that's something your guests will definitely remember from your wedding!
Love it!! I'm a huge fan of nonfloral centerpieces, and I could definitely see this at a wedding with a certain overall feel.
ooh i love the look of this! looks gorgeous, but it's prob pretty easy and affordable, too! (not that it looks cheap lol. it looks really good!)
what a unique centerpiece!! it looks lovely and seems soooo reflective of your personalities which is a nice touch! @egad your red centerpieces were sooo cute!!
what great ideas!
It looks great!!! You may want to set it up and have people sit at the table to see if its too tall. You could find out that one less book will make for uninterrupted conversation around the table

So I had a totally random idea for centerpieces the other day, and I turned today into craft day and tried to recreate what was in my head....I think they turned out pretty cute! But what do you all think of them as centerpieces for a wedding??? They are a little untraditional but the FI and I love to read and our "theme" is going to be something along the lines of "Love Story" with film and movie love story references.
