Anyone go this route or planning to? If so, what do you intend to make?

hmmm.. cookies or anything food related would be good! If youre artistic in any way, then you could make something unique! My parents love getting some of my drawings, I just frame them!

This past weekend I went out and got small mason jars and some fabric. I'm going to glue this adorable fabric to the lids, and then fill the jars with home made peppermint bark. I did it last year and people said they couldn't stop eating it! I'll also make neat gift tags to tie on the jars, and I might put the recipe on the tag. I love doing DIY gifts, especially for people I see all the time, but am not personally close to (such as co-workers, etc). That way if you don't know them well enough to get a bought gift, holiday candy/food usually is good.

There are a couple Martha Stewart crafts I'm thinking about doing.

    One is a no-sew tote: http://www.marthastewart.com/268380/no-sew-tote-bags?czone=/best-of-the-martha-stewart-show/diy-projects

And another is a no-sew scarf (can you see the pattern? ;)): http://www.marthastewart.com/856351/handmade-scarves/@center/381714/handmade-accessories#/193408?xsc=eml_crd_2011_11_06&om_rid=NsjbUU&om_mid=_BOtohxB8d9xdbL

    Great ideas!

I made peppermint bark one year as gifts and everyone went crazy over them, even the folks who said they hated mint.

We're making Mr. Raccoon's mom an ornament wreath with silver and gold globes from the dollar store and a wire clothes hanger. It turned out nicely and I hope she likes it!
