Thinking of DIY ing pedestals for our cupcakes (all different heights) and one for our sweetheart cake. Thinking silver stand with eggplant plates (my colors).
Has anyone attempted DIY cupcake towers or cake pedestals and want to share pics or advice?
heres a really rough idea…white linens eggplant runner. Sliver and eggplant cake stands. Cupcakes in white lacy liners. White frosting w edible glitter…???

I thought about it, but it’s a lot of work and $$$. I ended up just buying a cardboard stand and painting it.

I have not made pedestals before, but I have made a cupcake tower.
Here is mine made of different sizes of wood painted white, and in between the boards are actually canned food that I wrapped in white fabric. 🙂

You can find cheap cardboard cupcake towers for like $25 on the internet that you can put together and decorate yourself. I have it bookmarked somewhere. Looking for it now.

I made ours – we are having 3 cupcake towers. I think they cost me approx $6-8 a piece and they fit our book theme! Plus, since we made them they mean a lot to us.

I’m having 2, 6 foot tables full of mismatched china tiered cupcake stands that I put together for our cupcakes, mini cupcakes, cakepops, cookies and a 150 piece macaron bar. I decorated every cupcake liner. I actually have a macaron menu. I can hardly wait!
Super simple to make these. I purchased all plates at different thrift stores, I used vases, glasses, candle holders to attach the plates to each other and I used hot glue to attach them together.
