PIC HEAVY! (sorry! I hope they aren’t too huge. I couldn’t figure out how to resize in here.)
Hi Ladies! After being married over 6 months (and trying to rehab from my wedding obsession) it occurred to me that I never did a full recap of the DIY’s at my wedding. I think I just posted a few photos from our photographers blog, but didn’t share with you all how some of the projects I’d been working on actually turned out! So, months late, here’s a recap of my DIY-filled wedding.
I have to give a BIG THANKS to the hive for all your advice and support along the way!!
Here’s all our paper goods. The letterpress invite was Hello Lucky and I printed everything else at home to coordinate. Stamps were off ebay.
Letters bought at Hobby Lobby and covered with twine using hot glue. Silk flowers hot glued on also.
I used white paint pens to do the card box (on a terrarium) guest seating chart and welcome sign- super easy since you can print the words out and trace easily on glass!
Guest “book” cards. My mom made the pin board by adding hindges to 3 old windows and gluing in cork boards.
Menu cards and cookie favors (we made a donation to the Humane Society and the reverse of the white card says that).
My mom built the wood stands for the table numbers and I got a random mix of house numbers on ebay… dissolve steel wool in vinegar and it distresses wood perfectly (that and a few wacks with a hammer)!
Lastly, I loved the planter box I found online for our “dancing shoes”. I used the wood stand that came with the card box terrarium to set it up on the dancefloor.
