I finished my bridal earrings this week, so I wanted to share them :-).

I'd been eyeing the antique looking bird and flower earrings on etsy and wanted something similar. I found a necklace at Icing (by Claires) that was a simple antique gold chain with seven swallows. I just took two of the swallows off and combined them with pearl beads I already had (I used to do a lot of jewelry making) so now I have earrings and a necklace for less than $10 (though I won't be wearing the necklace for the wedding, just because the dress looks better without a necklace. The only thing I might change is trying to find more gold colored earring hooks since they don't match, but when you're wearing them it doesn't really show.

Those are so pretty! I love how they're not the typical or usual bridal earrings.

Will you be wearing any other jewelry?

I'll be wearing the earrings, my rings (of course :-D), and a antique looking pearl bracelet that my friend loaned me (it was her sister's, so I was touched that she wanted me to wear it). My dress is lace and we're having an outdoor wedding, so I didn't want anything too big or sparkly.

No, it's actually a sunflower theme, but we're doing it outdoors, so I thought the birds fit will with that and with our colors.

Those are so cute!! Looks like it was probably a quick and simple project.  It's always nice when things turn out so awesome and you don't have to put a lot of time or money into it.

Wow I love the fact the you found the original necklace at claire's! Could you maybe use the other swallows in a bracelet or a a BQ charm?

    Those are adorable!!!!  Great job!

How about incorporating one or more of the extra swallows somewhere else?  Bouquet charms, perhaps?  I love birds and weddings.....love takes flight!   Smile

Cute! Does your wedding have a bird theme or do swallows have any sort of special meaning to you?
