I made button boutonnieres with fabric leaves and will be having fresh flowers for the bouquets, corsages and table centerpieces.
No it's not weird. We are doing the same thing! I made the bouts for my guys already and we plan to have real bouquets!!

@milesbella:I love those bouts! So cute and creative--great job on them!
@Donnica22:I also like yours--the flowers look pretty believable:)
Thanks for the quick feedback. Here is the direction I'm going with the boutonnieres...I figure it's something I can do ahead of time, and not have to worry about the day before when I'm doing the diy fresh bouquets.

@Donnica22: Yours do look real - those closed buds are fabulous!
@sco.ang: Wow, LOVE those too. I'm having a vintage themed wedding and those would be perfect.
My wedding isn't until September but I've had the bouts done since ummmmm....November! They're boxed up and waiting. I figure I can **hopefully** sell them afterwards too.
I made our bouts, but we did have fabric bouquets....I don't think it would have clashed if we had used real flowers though.

I also have this picture of bouts that I made for another bride:

@locket:ooh! love those too!
And...I'm going for the vintage look too...there's so many little details to take care of, so hopefully it'll all come together!
@Donnica22:I just looked at your blog--and am still perusing it! I love the idea of having a video to introduce you as a couple. It's so true that most of the people at the wedding wont know the bride and groom together. love it!
@sco.ang: THANK YOU!!!! We so loved doing it. And already people are like it was so good to see y'all together. It really is true that most people don't know us as a couple!!
The DETAILS are what is so much more difficult! UGHHH! LOL!!!!!

I'm interested in making fabric boutonnieres for the guys, since I know I can make them ahead of time, and not have to worry about them wilting and coming out weird. At the same time, I'm planning on doing DIY fresh flower bouquets for me and my BMs...is this weird? If so, what are other brides doing if they do a fabric DIY bout? I'm not into the look of fabric flower bouquets...
I was thinking if I made extra fabric flowers, I could use them as brooches on the handles of the bouquets to tie everything together. Other than that, I'm stumped!
