Im making my own flowers fory bouquet. I used muslin, burlap, satin and some other fabrics. I used floral wire to makStevens, but it doesn’t seem to be sturdy enough to hold up te heavier flowers. I jabbed them into a styrofoam ball, but they are kind of drooping and some are falling out! Any advice on what else I could try? Has anyone tried the wire wisk technique? Does it work?
I will post pics of the progress later tonight!
Thanks in advance!

I know in one of the tutorials I watched, they suggested wooden dowels as the “stems” I think I was planning to get a bunch of these and wrap them in floral tape. I can’t say I’m familiar with the wire wisk technique… Sorry I couldn’t be of more help!

i folded my wire to make it 2-3 times as wide, then i wraped it with floral tape and stuck it in styrofoam. I used a poly satin so they were not very heavy. Maybe wooden dowels would work

Use a thicker gauge wire. You can get all different sizes at the craft store.
