Hmm the only other similar things I found were

1. “plastic decorative grass mat” which is 25cmx25cm sold here on aliexpress: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Free-shipping-25-25-artificial-plastic-decorative-grass-mat-with-daisy-flowers-and-ladybug/706868_447120470.html

2. “artificial boxwood mat” 12inx12in shown here: http://www.commercialsilk.com/fire-retardant-foliage_boxwood-mat-foliage_p_458.aspx

3. “artificial grass mat” 9.5inx9.5in sold here: http://www.amazon.com/Craft-Garden-Artificial-Grass-Mat/dp/B007N68D9E

4. “artificial otdoor boxwood mat “12inx12in sold here: http://www.artificialplantsandtrees.com/CSI1008.html

5. Large (30cmx30cm) “aquarium artificial grass spawning mat” sold here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Large-Aquarium-Artificial-Grass-Panel-Spawning-Mat-30-cm-/400742497492?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d4e1d3cd4

For all of these you’d just have to just remove the artificial grass that comes attached and slip on on the flowers you’ve ordered. Hope this helps even a little.

You don’t have to use a mesh background. You can use sheets of foam and insert the stems

you can pop the flowers off the stems and glue them on to a solid backdrop like a sheet of plastic, plywood etc as long as you have a structure from which to hang the wall. YOu can even use fabric and hang the same way as pipe and drape.

This company sells the flowers panels. You could ask if they would sell you the mesh on its’ own. You will likely need to buy a minimum of 50 panels as they are a wholesaler.

Thank you so much for the info!!
Makes me feel like this is doable!

I did find this seller on aliexpress.com that sells the plastic panels by itself designed to hold flowers. There is quite a discrepancy in price between a few sellers though..with a 40×60 panel ranging from around $9 to as low as $2.50. Its worth looking into the sellers…I think most people feel comfortable shopping on that website.

Thanks again and I’ll post pics when I get started!
