Hmmmm, I wonder if this would be worth the hassle of driving to Philly a couple of days before the wedding. I'm in Baltimore, do you know of any locations closer to me then Philly? Our wedding is completely DIY, and I want nice flowers, but not too particular on what kind I get as long as they are cheap and pretty!
Have you thought about going to a local Costco, Sam's Club, BJ's, etc?
My best friend did all her flowers from Costco and they were great! Definetly worth the membership, which in my opinion was the only drawback.

Here's a repeat in the right location :-)
Hi Ladies,
Anyone in the Philly area looking to do flowers themselves should really check out Produce Junction. Might not sound that fantastic, BUT they are extremely affordable and all locally grown. Not to mention you can do your produce shopping on-the-cheap for the week there (or perhaps all the fresh fruit and vegetable trays if you are DIY-ing that as well). The only draw backs are that they accept cash only (but have an ATM on site) and you can't pre-order, so you get what they have.
Seriously though, 25 roses go for about $8.50 and they're beautiful if you get them a day or two before, cut the stems and take them out of the wrap. Also, Beautiful hydrangeas are available almost year round, but the colors vary depending on seasons and you can get 3 giant mop heads for about $5. They always have a huge selection with prices listed on a white board. Just make sure you brush up on your flower knowledge since they don't go out of their way to tell you which flower is which. (It's how they keep the costs low).
Respond if you have any questions. I have helped countless friends do this and it saved them hundreds$$. Also, let me know where you are and I can follow up and send you of the address of the closest unassuming treasure to you. I think they're in Jersey as well
