So I just went over our budget again and have realized I am majorly over budget. The flowers is the first area I have decided to cut back on. This being said we will are starting to look into DIY fresh flowers to the wedding list.
Any tips anyone has on diy flowers? How many flowers did you use for yours? Best place to order from?
I am wanting a dome shape for me and a single rose for the guys. Kind of lost for the girl though as to what I really want for them. I have NO idea how many flowers to order though. And can you order fresh rose petals online too?

Yes, you can order bulk flowers online. Have you considered doing faux/silk flowers for the guys’ bouts? That’s what we did. It meant you could do them ahead of them, and they lasted longer on the wedding day. You should also check with some of your smaller local flower shops, they may be able to supple rose petals cheaper than you would pay online plus shipping. Also check into using Costco. And for your BMs, consider flowers that don’t require a lot and are easy to wrap like calla lilies or one large bloom of some kind. Good luck.

I am DIYing the flowers for the bridal party. We ordered the flowers from fiftyflowers.com. I ordered the greenery for both the bouquets and greenery from a local florist shop b/c I was able to only order the amount I needed. The minimum orders on fiftyflowers.com was WAY more than I needed.
We are using yellow spider mums and aspidistra for the bridal bouquet with plain spider mum bouquets for the BMs. The bouts will be spider mums and grape leaves.
The trial run took 24 spider mums to get a good size for the bridal bouquet. I plan to use about 15 for each Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquet.
These are my inspiration photos:

Thanks ladies. I LOVE the spider mums. Too bad they don’t come in my colors.
The fin said he doesn’t want any silk flowers so we will be making everything the day of or day before.
