Ii'm glad they held up so well! We have an extra fridge at my parents house, so I was able to keep all my DIY flowers in the fridge the day before!
Congrats...what a lucky friend these are beautiful. Would you do it again...maybe turn it into a side business?
@D.Marie- If I lived in LA and had access to that AWESOME flower market where we got all the flowers, I would consider it. But living in the Northeast and having to rely on ordering flowers, I think it would too stressful. I was so stressed out wanting everything to be perfect- and my friend was really laid back. I can't imagine what I would have been like with a stressed-out bride! That said- I'd definitely do it for friends.

Last month I posted about the flower trial I did for my friend's wedding (http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/diy-flower-trial)- I offered to DIY her flowers since I had a good experience doing my own at my wedding.
Well, the wedding was Oct 24th and I think the flowers came out beautifully! But most importantly, the bride was happy with them!
Having done all the prep work on the flowers the previous day, it took me about 5 hours to make 4 bouts, 3 corsages, 2 BM bouquets, 1 bridal bouquet, and 3 vases of flowers. I made everything the day before the wedding. The bouquets were hand-tied and stored at room temperature. The bouts and corsages were sprinkled with some water, placed in a ziplock with a damp paper towel and stored in the fridge. Everything held up really well.
