Irish2014:  I’m going the Sams Club route too! I’m having white and pale yellow hydrangeas, ivory roses, yellow spray roses, peach roses and babys breath. It should end up in the 400 range like yours as well.

Irish2014:  I’m excited to see more of us going the DIY flower route!  I just ordered ours today.  I did 300 stems of babysbreath ($261) and 120 lavender football mum stems ($150) from FlowerExplosion.  I also ordered 360 stems of dried lavender from Save On Crafts ($35.23).  We should have enough to have flowers errrywhere! 🙂

I hope you all post photos of what you do with your DIY flowers!

Nice!  We used flowers my dad grew in his giant garden… zinnias, dahlias, black-eyed susan, and plenty of other species I can’t remember.  We were going for a very eclectic colorful wildlflower look.

Just be warned, the arranging and transporting is a bit of a pain in the ass!  It saves sooo much money though.

I ordered from fiftyflowers and Costco.  I had 72 stems of peony roses (metropole) and one of their centerpiece bundles (spray roses, hypericum berries, aster).  I supplemented with with 2 bunches of roses (regular, ecuadorian) and some alstroemeria from Costco.  My total cost was $320

Irish2014:  Thanks 🙂  Picking out inexpensive fillers definitely helped lol.
