So I am going back and forth between having a caterer or if I am going to just order from the store the sandwich trays (which is what we would be having anyhow).
If you are doing this, who is going to be in charge of pick up/set up/etc? I am doing so many DIY projects to keep costs low. and I do not think this is a bad idea, but I want to know who I should ask if they could do it, because mostly I want most of my guests to have a good time. I am thinking my MIL to do it, since she thinks this whole thing is stupid anyhow.

My mom and I cooked all the food and prepped the day of, mom and BMs helped set out the food. Family and friends who stuck around for the end helped clean up.

Have a friend or relative pick up the food. My best friend and step mom totally took care of the food and cleaning afterwards.

My FMIL is flying in a week before the wedding and has in her awesome way taken charge of the whole food thing. She is a chef by trade and is having a heyday planning out the menu and testing out new desserts.
We will be doing tea/finger sandwiches as well, most of the cooking & assembling will be taken care of the day before (though purchasing, prepping etc will happen all week likely). For the sandwiches FMIL, me and aunties will probably get together and get an assembly line thing going.
Whichever way you decide, make sure whoever is in charge is entirely competent and punctual 🙂
