Just had to share…excited it’s finally coming together 🙂
Here’s the start of my paper garland! I’m just chosing paper that i think looks pretty and not worrying too much about it all matching. We’re getting married in a barn and I wanted an affordable (read cheap) way to decorate above it. There’s 30 feet from one side to the other soooo…I have a lot of sewing to do lol. I calculated I need close to 3000 hearts (1500 hearts but one for each side) to get it done

@julies1949: thanks! 🙂
I had been punching all these hearts and was begining to wonder how to putting it together piece would work….I’ve never really used a sewing machine. So far, so good!

I love it! I’m creating a heart garland backdrop for our ceremony similar to this, just with paper instead of felt since I would never be able to cut that many hearts the same size. (Thank goodness for paper punches!)
I have them all cut. Now it’s just a matter of sewing them together. Thanks for the inspiration to get back to this project 🙂

@flying_hearts: That’s so pretty! Ya, I wouldnt be able to cut that many felt hearts either. I just used a cheap punch and I found when I cut two papers at the same time it cuts cleaner anyways. Its going much much faster than I though so Im thinking im going to create a whole punch more for decorations elsewhere. I’m so glad it’s not as fussy as I imagined it to be lol!
Definitely post pics as you go! 🙂
