So I’m starting my second DIY project. If you saw my first one, you’ll know why I’m being super careful and asking a lot of questions before I begin. 🙂
So I’m trying to make somethign like this:
I’ve already purchased my votive candle holders and the diamond mesh wrap, but I’m wondering how other bees have glued the mesh onto the candles? What product did you use? Was the glue visible?
Thanks in advance for all the info! Sorry for the super large picture

I would a silicone based glue instead of a glue gun so the heat doesn’t cause the glue to remelt. Maybe clear boat glue? …it smells terrible but will glue everything to anything.

Any other bees out there that did somethign simliar?

There are “dot” glue that you could use. Think of double-faced tape, but it’s made of glue. They work well with mesh. No fuss or mess or smell. You can purchase at any craft supply store.

Beacon’s 3 in 1 Craft Glue is AMAZING. I use it for all of my projects! They sell it at craft stores (like Joanns).

I would use e6000 or another epoxy. Glue dots may melt and make a sticky mess.

I would use any glue that works on glass and most of them dry clear. I used an Aleene’s All purpose Adhesive for my DIY glass marble magnet wedding favours. Since I needed to glue the marble directly ontop of the picture it had to be strong and clear. Worked like a charm….but if you want to take it off after glue dots work great!

Thanks ladies! I guess it’s time to make a trip to the craft store. I like the dots idea but am worried about it melting since the candles will be used for roughly 7 hours.
